Regional Cluster Meeting

Ashburton Borough School hosted this meeting which was attended by National ICT Facilitators, Facilitators and Project Directors. Roger Hornblow and Lisa Squire attended. The agenda can be found at Of interest to the CCC Cluster was the information given regarding the Milestone Reporting which can be found at the previously mentioned address.
During the sharing part of the session Roger shared the benefits of the cluster wiki and Lisa elaborated on the use of digital texts and teachers successes.
Some other items shared of note were:
- use of games to engage students learning e.g. Xbox by Sue from Methvan Primary School
- using Wordle to document teacher responses and show trands through the variation in text size upon publishing
- Google Docs (go to forms under the file tab) which collates feedback notes, puts it into a speadsheet and can then be imported into Google Calendar. Useful for making bookings.

CCC Cluster Launch


Leaders PLC Management Meeting


School leaders from the Connecting Canterbury Communities’ met for the first time at Hanmer Springs School during the holidays setting the platform for a productive year.
The cluster’s thirteen schools were well represented by both principals and lead teachers with over 25 people attending. The meeting was hosted by Faye Le Cren, director of eTime and supported by Lisa Squire, CCC ICT facilitator. Roger Hornblow, Waikuku School Principal and CCC Project Director, contributed significantly to the successful start of the Cluster's programme.
The Cluster discussed the organisation of the Cluster programme, tools and systems for gathering evidence of progress and milestone requirements.
